Kraken Scheduled Downtime

Kraken has scheduled downtime on Sunday, July 14 at 21:00 UTC. The expected downtime is 3-8 hours, but please check the Kraken blog for more details.

The Futures platform will not experience downtime, however users that sign in and transfer funds from their Kraken spot account will see reduced access. During the downtime period you will not be able to do the following:

  • sign in to Kraken Futures
  • transfer funds to and from your futures wallet

In order to enable access to Kraken Futures during this period, we have extended the default session length to 7 days. If you sign in any time before the planned downtime (and DO NOT logout), you will be able to access and trade on Kraken Futures during the downtime period.

We would advise that users sign in to multiple trusted devices as the best way to ensure access to Kraken Futures is not affected.

You can view and manage current active sessions on the settings page - https://futures.kraken.com/settings

Transfers between spot and futures wallets will not be available throughout the downtime period. We advise that users ensure their positions are properly collateralised ahead of time to avoid unwanted liquidations.

If you have any questions, please submit a ticket to our support team: https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000286871
